Mark Lang and I started writing this song one night while I was staying with him during a tour of Australia. Before the Australian tour, I’d been in the U.K. with the Ennis Sisters and, after that, Ontario with JP Cormier. All told, I'd been away for two months straight and it was hard to readjust into being back home again. I finished writing the song when I returned as a way of dealing with some overwhelming feelings that had a hold on me. When you're away from home for large chunks of time on a regular basis you miss things that have happened. Sometimes they're the big things and sometimes they're the little things.
